5. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Deal Chahta Hai retains your personal data for the following periods based on the purpose, nature of data, and your stakeholder type:
A. Lead Data - Buyers, Tenants, Investors
Retention Period: 2-3 years from the date of last contact or interaction.
Rationale: To enable follow-up on long-term interests and comply with RERA requirements for record-keeping.
Accelerated Deletion: If you explicitly request deletion or opt-out of all communications, data is deleted within 30 days.
B. Listing Data - Sellers, Landlords
Active Listing Period: As long as the property is actively listed on the Platform.
Post-Delisting: 1 year after the listing is removed or marked as sold/rented (for reference, dispute resolution).
Accelerated Deletion: Upon your written request and confirmation that the property is no longer available.
C. Communication Records (Applicable to All)
Call Recordings: 90 days to 1 year (depending on regulatory requirements and business needs).
Emails and Chat Messages: 1-2 years for customer service and dispute resolution purposes.
SMS Records: 1 year (in compliance with TRAI regulations).

2. Processing: 30-45 business days (may extend to 90 days for complex requests)
3. Confirmation: Within 10 business days of completion
4. Backups: Quarterly manual review (up to 180 days for complete removal)
You acknowledge that these timelines are reasonable for manual processing and comply with applicable data protection laws for small enterprises.
6. DATA SECURITY AND PROTECTION
